HISPANIC SCHOLARSHIP
The Hispanic Scholarship Endowment (formerly AHEAD Endowment) was established by Dr. Robert Villalobos and Dr. Ernest Flores to support local area youth through education, and promote economic success within the community.

 SPRINGBOARD! SCHOLARSHIP
Created by women for women, the SpringBoard! Scholarship program was established in 2004 to help improve the lives of women in southern New Mexico by providing opportunities for advanced education.  This scholarship will be awarded to female students from throughout southern New Mexico who are pursuing higher education at a southern New Mexico community college in preparation for a career.

KEVIN T. RIEDEL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is in memory of Kevin T. Riedel who was a major contributor to the soccer community and serves as a tribute for Kevin's love of the game.  Kevin died as a result of injuries suffered in an auto accident while traveling to a soccer tournament.  Kevin worked with the soccer community as a referee in the Las Cruces Soccer Referee Association and as a soccer dad.  Kevin's family is delighted that a scholarship in his honor is fostering a life-long involvement in soccer among young people in Las Cruces.

OVER THE RAINBOW SCHOLARSHIP
Established to honor the memory of Dorothy Ellen Baker who valued higher education for women.  The daughter of an Appalachian coal miner, she dreamed of attending college, however it was financially out of reach for her and the school she wanted to attend excluded women.  Her belief in the importance of college for women eventually inspired two of her daughters to complete their Ph.D.s and become professors.  This $500 scholarship is awarded annually to a woman who is a non-traditional student with a financial need and is attending either New Mexico State University or Doña Ana Community College.  The student may use it in anyway to further her education.  In addition, a student may be awarded the scholarship a second year.

THE HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION OF SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO OFFERS THE FOLLOWING SCHOLARSHIP:

ZACHARY EILAND LANSFORD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship was established in memory of Zachary Eiland Lansford by his family.  On April 24, 1999, at the young age of 17, Zac's life ended in an unfortunte car accident.  Zac was a hero to his young niece and nephews, always willing to play, listen, love and teach them.  His family remembers Zac as a free spirit who lived life to its fullest.  Because Zac loved life, hated to see people hurting, and was always willing to help a friend or a stranger, the Zachary Eiland Lansford Memorial Scholarship is designated for a student who wants to go into the field of nursing.  The family members of Zachary Eiland Lansford are excited and honored to have this opportunity to fund a scholarship, in the hopes of helping others.
