SCHOLARSHIPS
CRITERIA FOR HAROLD COUSLAND FUND FOR YOUNG JOURNALISTS SCHOLARSHIP:
Graduating senior from Doña Ana or Luna Counties; enrollment at college with an interest in journalism; demonstrated participation in high school activities, particularly related to writing; reputable grade point average; special talents and community involvement.
CRITERIA FOR HISPANIC SCHOLARSHIP: Minority student graduating from a local area high school; enrollment at New Mexico State University or Doña Ana Branch Community College; financial need, and demonstrated participation in high school and community activities.
CRITERIA FOR SPRINGBOARD! SCHOLARSHIP: The SpringBoard! Scholarships can be awarded to both traditional and non-traditional* female students entering or enrolled in a community college in southern New Mexico.
* "Non-traditional" is defined as women who are not entering or did not enter college directly from high school.
CRITERIA FOR OVER THE RAINBOW SCHOLARSHIP: The Over the Rainbow Scholarship can be awarded to a non-traditional* female student attending either New Mexico State University of a southern New Mexico community college.

CRITERIA FOR THE KEVIN T. RIEDEL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: One or more awards will be made annually. Eligible applicants will meet the following criteria: (1) Active membership in the Las Cruces Soccer Referee Association. (2) A graduating high school senior or current good standing enrollment in a higher education institution including professional and trade schools. (3) Continued development and activity in soccer officiating or soccer community volunteerism.
CRITERIA FOR THE ZACHARY EILAND LANSFORD MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP:
Graduating senior from Sierra, Otero or Union Counties; enrollment at an institution for higher learning with a degree plan to become a Registered Nurse; reputable grade point average and financial need.
